Laura Davies set out to bring British Women's golf into its own.
Having won the US Women's Open in 1987 after a three-way-play off,
the American authorities had no option but to eat their words - Why?
They had ruled that she could not take part in a US Women's Tour earlier that year as, in their opinion,
European women golfers had not made sufficient impact on the US golf scene.
Well they have now!!!
