Longridge welcomes visitors and members
alike to its challenging Par 70, moorland course of 5974 yards
with views in all directions such as the Welsh Mountains, Pennines,
Lake District, Morecambe Bay and Blackpool.
The oldest club in Lancashire it is
situated to the east of Preston and less than 10 minutes from junction
31A of the M6.
From a ramshackle barn and 29 acres
acquired by far-sighted members of Preston Cycling Club for £550 in
1917,
there has grown a luxurious clubhouse and an 18 hole golf course that
stands on 86 acres of land owned by the members themselves
How to find us:
Exit M6 at junction 31a from the South and junction 32 from the North.
Follow signs for Longridge then signposts to Jeffrey Hill.
At White Bull turn left (signposted Jeffrey Hill).
Approx. ½ mile on take left hand fork signposted “Golf Club” this
is Forty Acre Lane.
Follow this road for approximately 1½ miles until you reach the Golf
Club, situated on the right hand side.
