Parkland Course -
18 Hole - Par 70
Grange Golf Club carries a delightful
countryside and
coastal ambiance, with stunning views of the surrounding woods and open
countryside.
The course itself is a fair par 70, constructed in the 1920's
Many of the originally designed McKenzie holes are still in play but
this is not a "links" type course.
It plays its length, and even in summer, the runs of the ball are limited.
The Greens are fast and good.
Grange Club House looks across the course to the Lake District
hills There is also a resident club
and teaching professional, who has a well stocked shop and offers services
7 days a week.
For the Visitor or Holiday Golfer, the course's
strengths are those of ease on stamina because
of its flat nature, and it is laid out so the club house is approximate
to the 9th and 18th hole
where they can relax and enjoy some good Cumbrian Cooking.
The area is a popular holiday destination and any visiting golfer is
sure to find suitable
accommodation in the surrounding area and a relaxing holiday atmosphere
in which to play a round of golf.
