SOUTH MOLTON area

BARNSTAPLE area
The town has a fine estuary setting, with a 16 arch bridge.
A large covered Pannier market and beside it Butchers Row
can be found in its centre. Shopping in Barnstaple is a must as
old and new merge together.
Probably the most famous structure is Queen Anne's Walk, originally
built in 1609 and rebuilt in 1708.
it is a small arcade, much carved and topped by a statue of Queen
Anne.
A library and museum is in the main square and a visit to the famous
pottery can also be made.
BIDEFORD area
Bideford is a Market Town with old Pannier Market,
thriving shopping centre,
discount shopping outlet at Atlantic Village and a working harbour
from where you can sail to Lundy Island.
Appledore is a quaint fishing village along the estuary.
Home to North Devon Maritime Museum
Westward Ho along the coast offers a popular seaside
resort with sheltered sands, backed by two mile ridge of pebbles.
CLOVELLY & HARTLAND
Clovelly - Set on the North Devon coast Clovelly
is one of the prettiest villages in Britain.
Its famous narrow cobbled, traffic free streets tumble down the
cliffside to a 14th Century harbour.
Hartland - The Hartland provides stunning cliff top
walks along the South West Coast Path.
Affording excellent views of the rugged Atlantic coastline.

main street offers a 1685 Castle ruin on a beautiful site

Tavistock, a former stannary town, is a charming market

Drake and is now the home of a statue in is honour,
