Altomar II is part of a relatively
new urbanization called Gran Alacant .
It is situated on the headland between Alicante and Santa
Pola.
There are three pools on the site, the nearest beach is a
three or four minute drive.
The apartment
The apartment is on the top floor, all linen is supplied -
you will need to bring your own beach towels.
There are fans available for summer use and also heaters for
use during the winter.
There are a few beach "toys", bats, balls etc which you or
your children are welcome to make use of.
You should find a supply of essentials ie: tea bags, coffee,
washing powder,
Toilet rolls etc in the apartment when you arrive, the only
thing we ask is that if you use
up any of these that you replenish it ready for our next guests.
There are a restaurants (Mexican, Chinese,
English and Irish), bars (inc. internet) and a bank
within a short walking distance, the nearest supermarket (English)
is approximately 200 yards.
Still within walking distance, though further away, are larger
supermarkets, more restaurants
(Asian, Patagonian Steak House and Spanish) and more bars.
The nearest beach is a three or four minute drive away at
the bottom of the headland,
you could walk, however it will be a steep climb back up the
hill!
Location
Gran Alacant is an up and coming area
- it is well served by bars and restaurants of many nationalities.
There is a local market held on a Thursday, Spanish and English
supermarkets , and a good range
of other shops, a pharmacy, clinic (inc. doctor and dentist),
tourist information centre, banks (with cash dispensers) and
bakers.
A few minutes by car takes you to a large shopping centre
with yet more shops, restaurants
and bars!! and the local bus takes you to the beach at Arenales
and further a field Santa Pola
where there is a more shopping and a marina.
There is a regular and cheap bus service to both Santa Pola
and Alicante.
10min (approx. 10km) Drive from Alicante Airport.
Within 45 minute drive you have 5 Golf courses
Villamartin which has an abundance of olive trees and well
placed bunkers to make it a
challenging course for players of all abilities.
Las Ramblas which is a stunning, but short course and is most
challenging.
High trees, natural fairways and ravines feature strongly
in this memorable course.
Campoamor which is situated, in two valleys with magnificent
views and
with a beautiful clubhouse to finish off the day.
Campoamor requires a 36 or less handicap and within 20 minute
drive from this property there is
La Finca Golf Course where a new clubhouse is being built
to service the Spanish Open and La Marquesa,
Tee times can be booked one week in advance at Las Ramblas
and 3 days in advance at Campoamor
No need to bring your clubs as you can hire them at the courses.
In addition you can also hire electric buggies.
The courses all have eighteen holes, putting and chipping
greens and practice areas.
There are also cafeteria’s/ restaurants where you can unwind
with something to
eat and drink after your round.
Also approx. 55 minute drive further south will bring you
to La Manga the world famous golf resort,
with three eighteen hole courses to choose from.
What more can the enthusiastic golfer ask for!
Please note that most have a strict dress code and require
a handicap card to play.

The lounge/diner has TV/DVD and CD music system (there
are a selection of DVD and CD's, which you are able
to use).
Kitchen: There is then a separate kitchen,
with fridge/freezer, oven and hob, washing machine,
microwave etc.
Bathroom: The bathroom has a bath, over-bath
shower, wc and bidet.
Other: Linen and towels provided.
Outdoors:
Balcony /large rooftop solarium with BBQ,choice of 3
outdoor swimming pools, BBQ.
The balcony has a table and chairs, we also have outside
chairs/loungers for use on the patio.
There is parking immediately outside of the apartment,
however should you choose not to
use this there are ample spaces nearby.
Conditions:
There will be a charge payable locally at the end of
your stay (you leave it in the apartment when
you leave) to prepare the apartment for you and to cover
the washing of linen and the cleaning
of the apartment after you have left. This charge is
currently 60 euros
Strictly no smoking except on the balcony.
50% of rental fee due upon confirmation of booking (this
is non-refundable),
with the balance due 8 weeks before your stay.
Keys and further information are then posted direct
to your UK address 10 days prior to your stay.
We do not currently charge a refundable deposit against
breakage's
but reserve the right to do so should the need arise
in the future.
Please remember that this is our home and that we wish
to maintain it to a standard
that allows for happy holidays for our clients and for
ourselves.
We cannot guarantee that the nearest swimming pool will
be open 52 weeks of the year,
there are times when it has to be closed for maintenance
(this is normally during the winter months).
